Video work, 4’
The series of works in which the artist had been questioning the designated visual and semantic qualities was concluded by the work called Pressure (2011).
It was conceived as the representation of the situation which we will describe as living inside tight, artificially imposed boundaries where the pressure is so high that we often forget to breathe in properly.
Similarly to the whale from the public aquarium in the story of John Lilly, the carps crammed in this tight, glass fish tank, running out of oxygen, could have asked themselves: do all waters have walls?
The work was first shown in the Salon of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Belgrade 2011.
